[영어] Prefer와 Would Rather의 사용방법

간밤에 잠들은 잘 주무셨는지요? ^.^

오늘은 영어 중에서 많이 헷갈리는

 

prefer와 would rather의 차이에 대해서 알아 보고

문제를 한번 풀어 봅시다. ^.^

 

 

우선 prefer에 대해서 알아보면

 

prefer a to b의 형식으로 사용을 하는데요.

그 의미는 a를 b보다 더 선호한다(좋아 한다)라는 의미로 사용이 됩니다.

 

예문을 보면

I prefer reading books to watching TV.

나는 책을 읽는것 보다 TV보는걸 더 좋아해.

반응형

would rather 는 차라리 ~ 하는게 낫다 라는 의미로 사용이 되는데요.

사용방법은 would rather A than B B보다 A가 낫다. 라는 의미로 사용이 되죠 ^.^

 

예문을 보면

I would rather read a book than watch TV

나는 TV보는것보다 책을 읽는걸 더 좋아해...

 

마지막으로

would prefer to A rather than B형식으로도 사용이 되는데요.

 

b보다 a하는걸 더 좋아한다 라는 표현으로 많이 사용이 됩니다.

예문을 보면

 

I would prefer to read a book rather than watch TV

나는 tv보는것 보다 책 보는걸 더 좋아해. .
