[영어문법] 조동사 연습하기

오늘은 오래간만에 영어 문법 하나만 포스팅을 해볼께요.

조동사 쉬운듯 하지만, 많이 헷갈리는 ㅎㅎㅎ

 

그럼 우선 아래 조동사를 외워 보실까요?

 

1. could have + p.p

 

뜻은

→ ~할 수도 있었는데 (하지 않았다)

→ 과거에 대한 아쉬움, 후회, 비판

 

사용하는 방법은

could have + 과거분사(p.p)

 

예문을 좀 살펴 보면요.

You could have waited until morning.

→ 아침까지 기다릴 수도 있었잖아.

 

You could have stayed with me.

→ 나와 함께 머물 수도 있었잖아.

 

You could have told me earlier.

→ 더 일찍 말할 수도 있었잖아.

 

He could have won the game.

→ 그는 경기에서 이길 수도 있었는데.

 

2. needn’t + 동사원형

뜻을 보면

→ ~할 필요 없다 (현재/미래)

 

사용하는 방법을 보면

needn’t + 동사원형

 

예문을 좀 보면요.

We needn’t rush.

→ 서두를 필요 없다.

 

You needn’t explain.

→ 설명할 필요 없다.

 

You needn’t worry.

→ 걱정할 필요 없다.

 

You needn’t come early.

→ 일찍 올 필요 없다.

 

3. needn’t have + p.p

뜻을 보면

 

→ ~할 필요 없었는데 (이미 해버림)

→ 불필요한 행동에 대한 후회

 

사용 방법을 보면

needn’t have + p.p

 

예문을 좀 살펴 보면

You needn’t have rushed.

→ 서두를 필요 없었는데 서둘렀네.

 

You needn’t have worried.

→ 걱정할 필요 없었는데 걱정했네.

 

4. will have to

뜻을 보면.

→ ~해야 한다 (미래 의무)

 

사용 방법을 보면

will have to + 동사원형

 

예문을 보면

I will have to get another key made.

→ 다른 열쇠를 만들어야 한다.

 

I will have to work tomorrow.

→ 내일 일해야 한다.

 

5. need (조동사 vs 일반동사 차이)

 

need는 두 가지로 사용되는데요

 

조동사로써는

needn’t go

→ 갈 필요 없다

 

일반동사로는

need to go

→ 갈 필요가 있다

 

예문을 보면

You needn’t come. (조동사)

You need to come. (일반동사)

 

6. get + 목적어 + p.p (조동사는 아니지만 시험 핵심)

 

뜻을 보면

→ ~을 시키다 / 맡기다

 

사용방법을 보면

get + 목적어 + 과거분사

 

예문을 보면

I got my hair cut.

→ 머리를 잘랐다

 

I got my car repaired.

→ 차를 수리 맡겼다
