[영어] Seems의 시제별 사용법

가을이 정말 머지 않은듯 합니다.

오늘은 간만에 문법?ㅎㅎ seems의 시제별 사용법에 대해서

그럼 이제 시작을 해볼까요?

우선 첫번째로

 

1. Seems to + 동사원형의 형태가 있는데요 이런 형식은

현재 시점에서 어떤 동작이나 상태가 사실처럼 보이는 경우에 사용 합니다.

 

기억해야할 포인트는 현재 라는 점이죠.

예문을 좀 살펴 보면.

 

He seems to know the answer. → 그는 답을 아는 것 같다. She seems to like you. → 그녀는 너를 좋아하는 것 같다. They seem to understand the rules. → 그들은 규칙을 이해하는 것 같다. My brother seems to play the guitar very well. → 내 동생은 기타를 아주 잘 치는 것 같다. You seem to enjoy your job. → 너는 네 일을 즐기는 것 같다. This app seems to work fine on my phone. → 이 앱은 내 휴대폰에서 잘 작동하는 것 같다. He seems to run faster than before. → 그는 예전보다 더 빨리 달리는 것 같다. She seems to speak French fluently. → 그녀는 프랑스를 유창하게 말하는 것 같다. They seem to have enough money. → 그들은 충분한 돈이 있는 것 같다. He seems to love his family deeply. → 그는 가족을 깊이 사랑하는 것 같다.

 

두번째 형식은

2. Seems to be + ~ing / 형용사 / 명사의 형태로도 쓰이는 데요.

to be + 형용사/명사 → 성질, 신분, 특징 추측을 나타낼때 사용을 하구요

 

to be + 동사-ing → 현재 진행 상황 추측

"be"를 넣어서 상태나 진행 중인 동작을 묘사할 때 사용합니다.

 

예문을 통해서 좀 차이를 보면

He seems to be tired today. → 그는 오늘 피곤해 보인다. She seems to be happy with the results. → 그녀는 결과에 만족하는 것 같다. They seem to be busy right now. → 그들은 지금 바쁜 것 같다. This city seems to be growing rapidly. → 이 도시는 빠르게 성장하고 있는 것 같다. He seems to be waiting for someone. → 그는 누군가를 기다리는 것 같다. She seems to be enjoying the party. → 그녀는 파티를 즐기는 것 같다. The weather seems to be improving. → 날씨가 좋아지고 있는 것 같다. He seems to be nervous about the interview. → 그는 면접에 대해 긴장하는 것 같다. This road seems to be under construction. → 이 도로는 공사 중인 것 같다. She seems to be thinking about something. → 그녀는 무언가를 생각하는 것 같다.

 

세번째 형식을 보면

3. Seems to have been + 과거분사 / 형용사 / ~ing의 형태 인데요 이런 형식은

과거 시점에서의 상태나 동작을 추측할 때 사용을 합니다.

 

뭐니 뭐니 해도 예문을 보는게 그 차이가 정확하죠

그럼 예문을 보면

He seems to have been tired yesterday. → 그는 어제 피곤했던 것 같다. She seems to have been happy during her vacation. → 그녀는 휴가 동안 행복했던 것 같다. They seem to have been busy last week. → 그들은 지난주에 바빴던 것 같다. The meeting seems to have been canceled. → 회의가 취소된 것 같다. He seems to have been waiting for hours. → 그는 몇 시간 동안 기다렸던 것 같다. This car seems to have been damaged in the accident. → 이 차는 사고로 손상된 것 같다. She seems to have been studying all night. → 그녀는 밤새 공부했던 것 같다. He seems to have been worried about the problem. → 그는 그 문제에 대해 걱정했었던 것 같다. The house seems to have been built in the 19th century. → 이 집은 19세기에 지어진 것 같다. They seem to have been close friends for a long time. → 그들은 오랫동안 친한 친구였던 것 같다.
