명사 뒤에 오는 전치사 문제

이것도 그냥 외우는게 답이긴 하죠..

 

어떤 특별한 규칙이 있는건 아니지만.

그래서 한번 살펴볼까요?

 

1. 명사 + 전치사의 기본 개념

영어에서 명사(Noun) 뒤에 특정 전치사가 오는 경우가 있어요. 

이런 조합은 그냥 외우는게 속이 편하실 겁니다. ^.^

 

예를 들면 아래의 경우는 항상 고정되어 사용이 되는

표현 이빈다.

demand for ~에 대한 요구

need for ~에 대한 필요

reason for ~에 대한 이유

advantage of ~의 장점

interest in ~에 대한 관심

 

2.  명사 + 전치사의 의미 확장

이 경우는 전치사마다 의미가 달라지는데요

 

주요 전치사 의미를 예시와 함께 보면 이해가 쉬워요.

 

a) for

대상이나 목적을 나타낼 때

demand for → ~에 대한 요구

 

예문을 하나 보면

There is a demand for better education.

 

 

need for → ~에 대한 필요

There is a need for more volunteers.

 

b) of 무엇의 특징, 속성, 장점을 나타낼 때 사용을 하는데요.

 

advantage of → ~의 장점

What are the advantages of learning English?

 

awareness of → ~에 대한 인식

He has an awareness of social issues.

 

c) in 관심, 전문성, 변화 등을 나타낼 때

 

interest in → ~에 대한 관심

She has a strong interest in art.

 

increase in → ~의 증가

There has been an increase in pollution.

 

d) on 영향이나 정보, 결정과 관련될 때

 

impact on → ~에 대한 영향

The policy has a big impact on education.

 

effect on → ~에 대한 효과

The new law has an effect on business.
